We celebrate the publication of THE KINGMAKERS: Vampire Empire, Book 3 by staggering in a terrified daze to the blogs of 5 notable authors where we will write about scary stuff, plus give away VAMPIRE EMPIRE and awesome steampunk jewelry.
Between October 19th and 21st, we will be posting on the blogs of some of our favorite authors and review sites on the topic of "What Scares Us" in books, movies, places, graveyards, monsters, and experiences. We hope some of the authors will share their scariest too!
We kick off the tour on October 18th at the wonderful blog Supernatural Snark with their review of THE KINGMAKERS: Vampire Empire, Book 3. (And that's scary because we haven't seen their review yet!)

I'm totally cool with snakes and spiders but I cannot stand those giant, flying Palmetto bugs (roaches) that like to steal into my Florida home on rainy nights. Eeeck!
Big Hairy Spiders scares me but not so bad that I need some one else to kill them. ha Had a bad experience with a spider once and ever since then I stay clear of them. sue garysue@dejazzd.com

The one thing that scares me the most is ghosts. Don't ask me why, I just have this idea that out of all the paranormal things out there, they could be real. I can watch movies with ghosts, I can't read about them, I can't even talk about them! Even now, I'm turning on the lights and praying for daylight. :?

I was never afraid of the dark... just the things that might be in the dark

Deep water. I used to live in Japan and I would fly home 1-2 times a year, and just the thought of flying 8-9 hours over the Pacific would set me off.

Spiders, and fire, and apparently the very thought that the hotel we're staying at might be haunted! I didn't get much sleep that night, kept waiting for something to walk out of the walls! Mental note, DO NOT take a ghost tour before trying to go to sleep!

Flies, I absolutely will not go to sleep if there is a fly buzzing around. You never know if they will fly in your mouth.

Ghosts, bugs, spiders and snakes don't scare me (well, not very much or very often anyway) but for something that can just sneak up on you and eat you, cancer scares the hell out of me.
Clowns scare the life out of me!

Spiders, definitely spiders, though I can at least kill them...and flying, buzzing, stinging things. I hate bees.

Nightmares, and that can be almost anything, just that feeling when you wake up in the middle of the night, cold in sweat and your heart pounding because something has terrified you *shudders* TG it doesn´t happen as often as it used to...
